The Land of Thermal Waters

The waters of Hungary come with a magic touch and unique in the world. Out of the 1300 thermal springs that have been discovered through the country so far, 118 are in Budapest. Certain types of thermal waters have been known to alleviate symptoms of various diseases from the top to toe. Treatment may not only be effective for rehabilitation but also for prevention or simply for pure enjoyment. Hungary has a 2000 years old tradition using thermal waters. The historical baths offer the chance of time travel to the Roman and Turkish era, and indulgence galore.

The world's only thermal lake can be found in the western Hungarian town of Hévíz, where visitors can swim and water temperature never drops below a friendly 23°! The water has curative power that provides relief for a number of ailments. At the eastern side of the country, bath complex of Hajdúszoboszló is the largest spa in Europe. The combined effects of the medicinal water, 40 different therapies and other healing factors may help with a patients' full recovery.
